Vision Statement:
To call all people we encounter to know, confess and share that, ‘Jesus is bigger than me!’
Core Value
Bigger than me…
Bigger than me means:
- Our lives belong to our God, he is over all, controls all, and is the object of our faith and worship.
For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world, in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse.
Romans 1:19-20
- Salvation is not from ourselves but only in Jesus. This means there are only two types of people in the world. Those who need Jesus, and those who need to proclaim him.
For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18
- My senses are not enough. Only God can reveal God, we are dependent on his Word and Spirit in order to know him and serve him.
No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only, who is at the Father’s side, has made him known.
John 1:18
- We exist to create and sustain mutual love relationships. The thoughts of our minds, the desires of our hearts, the words of our mouths and the actions of our hands are to be carried out with ‘bigger than me’ mentality.
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
Mark 12:30-31
-
We live with Holy Discontent; each day is a day to move forward on yesterday.
Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No, I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
1 Corinthians 9:25-27
Finally we are a part of the Anglican Diocese of Sydney, are committed to reformed evangelical theology and uphold the thirty nine articles of religion of the Anglican Church.
Mission statement:
Our mission is to present everyone mature in Christ. Our church exists to glorify God by calling all to repent and come under the Lordship of Jesus. We understand maturity in Christ as knowing God and living a life that pleases him. This will take the shape of members not only coming to Jesus but becoming mission minded. We strive to disciple Christians who will guard the deposit and fight the good fight. We call people to Christ, we grow them in Christ, we train them in sharing Christ, and we send them to preach Christ. Our church seeks to create ministry multipliers. In all things we seek ‘bigger than me’ theology and mentality.
